I'm trying to bundle together a collection of objects made from different materials into a single entity that can be duplicated/moved etc. This will make the history tree much easier to understand (less cluttered). Making an object list isn't quite what I'm after.

Is it possible to essentially boolean unite a collection of things into one composite object while keeping their separate material properties?
