Hi,
I'm building an led display board. I'm confused about the type of Led used in display board. Other than high bright led which type of led should i use? Should i use the the transparent (glass) type or the colored(diffused) one? i'm planning to give red led. Thanks in advance.

You'll primarly look for luminous intensity and viewing angle of the LEDs. LEDs with diffused package have usually a wider viewing angle and lower luminous intensity.

Besides the effect of different viewing angle, there's a large range between low efficiency standard LEDs and super bright LEDs.

Thanks fvm, so it is preferable to use diffused type over glass type. I have another doubt does high before led also have high intensity?

Yeah. It's high bright led not " high before led".
