Folks,

I'd like to choose a DAC topology to have below spec:
1. 100KHz sample rate
2. 10 bit
3. minimum DNL but much relaxed requirements on INL

Can anyone suggest a topology to have smallest area?

Thanks,
SQ

Generally it is depends on technology,- e.g. are high resistance or double poly (or MIM, with Cox ~1fF/um^2) capacitance options available. Typically switched capacitors DAC can be attractive: using 0.1pF unit capacitor total matrix (~100pF) with switches can be as small as 0.2 sq.mm. Of course need also output buffer OA, bias and control circuitry. All of this auxiliary blocks strongly depend on technology, specs. But in any case you can have below 0.5 sq.mm.

resistor-based DAC might be OK too.
