Help Needed With Xbee

I want to sample the X,Y and Z analogue outputs from my MMA7260Q 3axis accelerometer then use an XBEE series 1 to send the 3 values to another XBEE that is connected to my PC via the XBEE USB explorer. I am totally new to programming and this is a rather ambitious little project of mine. I have looked all over the web and I'm overloaded with info and quite confused. Help!!!
