Help Needed in RTP Protocol

Hi,

I am doing a project these days on live streaming of Audio/Video. I have developed some code using RTP(Real Time Transport Protocol).

It works fine when i stream from a file. However, when i try to stream from a live source (DVD Player in my case) the Audio/Video go out of synchronization after some time (30-40 seconds). The reason i have spotted is that the Video gets slow (12-15 fps instead of full 30 fps). BUT i can't figure out why does the video slows down.

If anyone having similar problems/experience please share with me.
