hi
iam doing a project on multiuser detection in cdma but i wasn't able to understand Asynchronous Channel in uplink can anybody help:?:

Hi iffi84,

did you mean you don't understand what asynchronous channel in uplink of cdma is? If yo, the the following explanation may be useful for you.

Uplink channel is the channel from mobile station (MS=user) to basestation (BS=provider). In this situation, there is no "agreement" between multiple users on when they transmit their signal. In such case you have an asynchronous channel because the block boundaries of each user's signal arrive not at the same time at BS. This means the interferers arrive asynchronously which is more complicated to deal with.

For the downlink, BS could transmit several signals for multiple users synchronously, i.e. we have synchonous channel at each MS. This means the interferers arrive synchronously.
