I want to run a 50v dc motor but i have only 5v coming out from my DAQ. Is there a way i can build a transistor circuit to run this motor. Thanks

Re: Running 50V dc motor

What kind of motor?
how much current?
If you are looking for a simple switch to start stop a DC motor then a mosfet would work fine.

Re: Running 50V dc motor

its a dc shunt motor. Thhttps://www.edaboard.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=38e current coming out from the DAQ is 0.5mA. Thanks

Re: Running 50V dc motor

Please describe what exactly you need because it is obviously not a transistor as a switch, the DAC (I suppose this is what you mean by DAQ) can output a range of voltages so what should the driver do?
Will you use the DAC only for 0 or 5v outtput and not a range between that?
