Help me starting a research project on face detection

Hello!

I'm new for Digital Image Processing and I'm going to do research project on Face detection.

Now I'm reading Gonzalez's tow books DIP and DIP with matlab. However, I need someone who guide me and be my advisor to show me from where I should begin and where I should end ...just a sort of outline.

Say something ... I'm sure it will help me.

First choose the method by which you would like to detect the face in an image

there are various IEEE papers available on Face Detection

Some are

Principal Component Analysis

Template Matching

Eigen Based


Choose the appropriate method that you want to learn from the above and
search IEEE/Springer papers accordingly.

Do you have the soft copy & sol mannual for these two books.also some other material since i am also doing the same project.

hi,
I think face detection is done by calculating eigen values , each face will correspond to some eigen values , in google typye face detection eigen values your getting some paper
