hi guys,

i have not sure how to solve this problem:

A file containing 1 Megabytes is to be transferred from one station to another station 1
km apart with a propagation delay of 200 μs/m. What is the total elapse time (delay) and
the effective throughput for the following cases
(i) A circuit switch star topology local network with data rate of 10 Mbps. Assuming
call set-up time is 0.01 secs.
(ii) A bus topology local network with data rate of 10 Mbps using packet of 1000
information bits and 200 bits of overhead. Assume synchronous transmission is
used.

Re: Data Link

You can also use NS2, or Omnet++ to simulate it.
