Re: ups

To increase the UPS's running time you need to increase the size of battery ..
This can be done by adding an external battery ..
But bigger battery also means higher charging current, so you will need to look at the charging section of your UPS ..

Alltogether, this can be quite complex exercise ..

Try to post circuit diagram of you UPS ..

Re: ups

thanks...

besides on that, i also plan to re design its transformer.. how does it affect the whole circuit??

Re: ups

If you replace the output transformer with one rated for higher power you will need to add (in parallel) a couple of power transistors, MOSFETS or BJTs, depending on what you already have inside .. see attached example ..

Re: ups

thanks a lot...

can i ask?

how could i exactly re design the transformer so that the running time of my ups will be lenghten and haver bigger complex power output?

Re: ups

I wouldn't re-design existing transformer .. You can't have more power out of it than it is rated for ..
Just replace it with bigger one ..

how could it be?

Re: ups

Maybe you can try to use transformer design sftware ..
Here is one example:
