Help me identify what are these tools used for

hi,
i urgently need the help from those experienced about what these tools for?...are they used for metal detector or for gold detector or for what?...i need the help...the tools are attached in the pictures...

Chesilvale make (if they are still in business) telecoms test equipment. I can tell from the telephne number on the battery pack that it is quite old, all the 0633 numbers changed to 01633 back in 1995.

The last item is a diamond identifier. It shines a light into a diamond and analyses the reflection to see if it is real or fake.
