Help me generate BOM in Cadstar 8.0

Hi All
I have PCB in Cadstar 8.0 and i need to genrate the BOM in which component reference , component detail is required

kindly help me in doing to get such BOM.

If Tools > Reports > Parts List... does not have the format you require then you can create a custom report using Tools > Report Generator > Manage Reports...

yes be precise with steps you are following because as per Rob's steps you should atleast get the report (might not be in the desired format).

Please also be a bit more precise at what you want to display in the BOM.

What "component detail" are you referring to.

You can output many different items in the report generator.

Hello antarveena,
you need to follow the tools correctly.
1) Go to Tools-->Report Generator--> manage reports
2) You can program the tool for the format you want the output.
or
2) click the Open tab and you need to select the *.rgf file from reports folder in Cadstar
3) than press run and it will generate the report.

please follow this steps.
1.go to -> tools
2.go to -> report generator
3.go to -> manage reports
4.then open the report contents
5.then choose want you want like part list,placement details,pin details etc.
6.then run the manage reports

u will get the report.
note : if u want part list you should create part library,schematic.

If he was a bit more specific about what he wants to see in a report then he could be guided better.

The standard parts list output is more than adequate to show component name & detail.
