dc-dc conveter

Hi

Can anyone help me - I have to design a dc-dc conveter which will supply a output voltage of 9V(5W to 25W) from a 12-16V source. Is there any certain circuit configuration that will work best?

thanks

dc-dc conveter

use LM2576 from national
check its site and its datasheet

configuration or chip?
I can recommend you the 78S40 chip in step down topology

or you could go to the webench of national semionductors to select and design our own:

Good luck

Re: dc-dc conveter

thanks for the replys

I have to actually design the conveter
I can use a LM555(timer IC) for PWM but no ther ICs

thanks

dc-dc conveter

u can use LM 7809 for the regulator voltage. input from 12 Volt and the output will be 9 Volt, but if u want large current u must add schematic with transistor PNP for current amplifier.
