I need help to design a power supply to move a motor. It must have 12 V and 3.5 A and 5 regulated Volts.
I have problems choosing a regulator (as LM7805) could you please help me find a right component?

Thanks

Re: High Power Supply

For 12V and 3.5A you can consider 7812 voltage regulator with an extrnal PNP power transistor .. see picture below ..
If you don't need more than 1A on the 5V rail you can use plain 7805 voltage regulator .. https://www.st.com/stonline/books/pdf/docs/2143.pdf
