Hi, I am trying to identify where the fault in this monitor (HP w2216v) is, it turns on fine and displays the image but it is very bright and over saturated. I dialed down the brightness and it seems ok now but a little too saturated and also it is very slow, its as if every image gets burnt in and then goes away after 10 seconds. My pc and graphics card, drivers etc are fine as I tested it with another monitor.

The back light is fine as I took the LCD panel off and turned it on and its nice and uniform. The LCD panel shows no cracks or any physical damage even when off and held to a window.

Would appreciate the help.
Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the replay and the link, unfortunately I don't think its the electrolytic caps as none were leaky or bulging but will have to get an esr meter to test them. I will test the voltage on the inverters too and report back.
