I make the spiral inductor layout in virtuoso, and i need import the layout

into @DS-momentum in pc.

I outport the layout from cadence into GDSII , but @DS doesn`t identify the GDSII file when imported into @DS.

how can i figure it out ?

By the way i want to use momentum in @DS to model spiral inductor.

Does anyone have some experience in it ?can you give me some suggestion?

thank in advance! any suggestion will be appreciate!

Hi Lotoy

I have such conversions big number of times.
There is no problem in most cases.

ADS can produce and import GDSII. Make GDSII using ADS then try import it
if OK then problem is in virtuosa output settings (I think so)

Upload yor GDSII (produced by virtuosa) and I will try import it

Regards

hi,Grig:

I have tried to produce a GDSII first deriving form ADS layout tool, and then import it into ADS.
it`s ok ,and i can get the layout from the GDSII .

but i still can`t import GDSII derived form virtuoso into ADS.
Is it the problem of layer definitions between virtuoso and ADS?

pls help me out ?

thanks in advance!

p.s.
the attachment is the GDSII file of a eight-side spiral inductor derived from virtuoso .
