Help for Helical Antenna design for tv reception in the philippines

i hope you can help me guys, we are tasked to build a helical antenna that would have a good reception for channel 2 (54-60 Mhz). Our main problem is on how to minimize dimensions. a 54 Mhz would have 177 cm diameter and 3.34x10^3 cm in length. Hope you can help me with this guys. tnx
 

Why would you like tu use a helical antenna (is it just because of the task)? Because of the physical operating principle, you very likely cannot reduce the size for your frequency. For single channel reception a Yagi may be a better approach if you really need some gain.

Look around and see what type of antennas are used, especially check the polarization.
