Help: Clock and data recovery & USB function design

My USB function core must use the clock recovered from the clock and data recovery circuit, I wonder if the clock and data are recoverd, 4x sample is necessary or not? If the clock is not contiueous,how to sample signals and decode PID? Who can give me a example? I also want to know the clock recoerd from D+/D- can keep along and how to keep? Please help me, thank you!
