HDL Language selection

hello, i have to work on pal 16v8, and 22v10. presently iam learing ABEL HDL, is it neccesary to learn VHDL or i can do job with ABEl.can any one tell me does this belogs to FPGA

Thats a very old part. I dont think ABEL will be much use to you in the future. You're better off learning VHDL or Verilog if you want a Job.
