Have a faulty HK A/V receiver model AVR25MKII

The receiver microcontroller is faulty-- no display, no function and in standby mode only. All voltages are correct. The microcontroller used is Inkel CXP 82220-107Q.

Can the microcontroller be simply replaced with a new one or has the ROM in the new microcontroller to be programmed before soldering on to the P.C.B.. The processor has 20K bytes of ROM and 624 bytes of RAM.

Regards,

Seems a dumb question, but can anyone tell me what does 107q after the processor number signify (CXP 82220-107q). I am asking because i am unable to obtain the datasheet and the processor seems a propriety OEM item.
CXP82220 is a SONY processor, does 107q stand for the s/w loaded in the ROM.
