Hi, everyone

My new position hardware test engineer. That's my first job. Generally I am reading some requirements and I am testing hardware design. What do you think about hardware test engineer, Hardware engineer or hardware test engineer which one is the good or future ? or How can I develop my skills. Can you recommend for career to improve me please ?

What is your idea about test engineer ? What they do job ? What is they skill ?
 

Hardware Engineer:​

  • Design and Development: Create new hardware components, circuit boards, and systems.
  • Prototyping: Build and test prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Integration: Work on integrating hardware with software and other systems.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and incorporate them into new designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation for designs.

Hardware Test Engineer:​

  • Testing and Validation: Test hardware components and systems to ensure they function correctly and meet specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and fix issues in hardware designs.
  • Automation: Develop and use automated testing procedures and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with hardware engineers to provide feedback on design and manufacturing processes.
For Hardware Engineers Proficiency in CAD tools and simulation software is needed. For hardware testing engineers, Knowledge of various testing methodologies and equipment.
