Hi! I just want to know about the job description of a hardware engineer. Does it usually involve computers?

Computers are my passion and if I am to choose between software and hardware, I'd choose the latter. Are there any certifications/skillsets I should obtain before applying for my first job? Any advice?

Hi,
As i know Hardware Engineer should have the following skill sets,
1.good knowledge in Electronics and circuit analysis skill and Logical thinking
2.for schematic design need to learn orcad, PADS Logic software.
3.component choosing for project and Bill of Materials generation from orcad
