h bridge - please clear my doubts

the diagram that is made on the given link is fake the actual internal circuit of L298 should look like this

in truth table
1 mean transistor on
0 mean transistor off

but in control side for transistor

0v----> for (A) or (b) mean pnp transistor on
12v---> for (A) or (b) mean pnp transistor off

12v---> for (c) or (d) mean npn transistor on
0v-----> for (c) or (d) mean npn transistor off
