Dear friends,
I need to sense the breaking & sudden acceleration of the vehicles. Please anybody advise me to select a proper sensor... Gyroscope or accelerometer?...
Both are capable to measure G-force but i am confused to select, which one is very suitable to my application.....

Thanks & regards
Udhay

Use an accelerometer to measure linear acceleration (or braking) The gyro is good for rotational measurements

Yes thank you. now i have my accelerometer circuit. Its senses rotation very well but i can not get much deflection for linear motion[surface level]. What can i do now...
