Hi,
We developed a storage system (embedded linux) and it has a GPRS connection using a Wavecom module to report logs and check for updates once a week. It all works perfect in the Netherlands because we know the apn name and password. Now we want to use the system in other countries. It seems difficult to find the apn and password for other countries even using the same providers; vodafone or simyo, they have other login names. When I put my personal sim card in another phone I receive after a few minutes two sms first: Hi you have a new phone and execute the next massage to apply the settings to your phone. On second message the phone asks do you want to use the setting?
My question is: Does the provider sends in every country such a massage when it detects a new phone, and is it a standard format witch we can decode?
Or an example of the setting message?
