gpib lpt

I am wondering if it's possible to emulate GPIB port on LPT port.

I would like to use Tektronix TDS200 series oscilloscope
with WaveStar software installed on notebook but
I don't have GPIB PCMCIA card and RS232 connection
is too slow. It would be very nice, if I could
connect the scope to the notebook's LPT port.

Does anybody have any experience with such GPIB
emulation?
