Hi, would it be possible to connect 100 Mbit GMII ethernet to 100 Mbit MII ethernet directly ? I will have GMII interface set at 100 Mbit and GMII compatible PHY. The board to which i have ethernet connection has MII 100 Mbit interface and PHY compatible with this. Would this work ?

Thanks,

Mehmet

That should work. refer to the PHY specification how to connect the unused GMII lines. Negotiation of GBit rates should be disabled through management interface.
