Hallo guys. I read alot about the gm over id method and watched some pretty good lectures and tutorials. Tried the method on a simple cs stage and it worked pretty good.
Im trying to design a 2 stage miller opamp next but have some trouble.
For example if i have the GBW given i can calculate my gm of input Transistor. So in General i should chose a high gm/id here because of input noise issues and for higher gain. From that i can calculate the necessary id. To get W i need id/W vs gm/id plot. For my active load i chose lower gm/id in general. So all in all thats a way to design the opamp. My question is how do i design it for a specific gain? Because in my example i design it for a specific GBW.
