getting registered to a demux device in the linux env

demux in linux

hello,
we have a code which is giving a bit of problem. as in we have a demux device to which we have to get registered inorder to get pes packets. we are doing it in the linux environment. how do we get registered or configured to the demux device inorder to get our input that is the pes packets. please do help us.
