generate sawtooth with uc3637

uc3637

now,i need a sawtooth which +Vth equal to +Vs and -Vth equal to gnd.
i direct connect +Vth and +Vs ,-Vth and gnd.it is ok?
or need a resistor to limit the current to protect uc3637?

it is so odd.+Vth can connect +Vs,it has a normal sawtooth.but -Vth cannot connect -Vs,the output is high level.
why?
