Generate Power from Current carrying conductor. Will this work?

Guys,
I have conductor that carries about 100A. If I put a stationary coil surround the conductor, will that coil generate power for me?

I required to generate power and charge a battery from the 100A carrying cable. Please advice if you have any other idea.

Please read first the basic-school physics textbook.
You should know that any DC current will not "generate" power in its vicinity. If it is AC current, then yes, if you make a transformer, you can transfer power from its AC magnetic field.
 

The coil as sketched will receive exactly zero magnetic flux from the conductor current. Review a physics text book to understand why.

You didn't tell if the current is AC or DC. Inductive energy transfer can only work for AC currents. Preferably you'll use a magnetic core around the conductor. Without it, an Rogowski coil like arrangement can work.
 

Additionally;
the laws of energy conservation apply.

If you remove power from a conductor, you have to either provide that same amount of additional power from the source; or reduce the amount of available power to the load.
