Hey there!

I need to simulate a receiver comprising an extended hemispherical lens+antenna. The receiver couples the radiation incoming from a big Cassegrain reflector, basically a gaussian beam (sort of).

Do you know some way of using a gaussian beam exitation, similar to the plane-wave exitation, in CST Microwave? or some kind of workaround,

Thanks!!

Hi,

There is a macro in CST 2014 which you can use to generate a Gaussian beam.

Goto: Home > Macros > Solver > Sources > Gaussian Beam

You can put the desired parameters to generate the Gaussian beam as per your needs.

Regards
