Hello guys I would like someone to give me an important information. Does ADS gives automatically the front to back ratio of the antenna as a number? How can I find it.
Since now I am calculating the radiation pattern ,after that farfield cut and finally i measure it from there at each frequency but the result is not accurate.
The F/B ratio in MOM of ads software. Usually, The ground plane in the simulation of ADS is defined is infinity ground plane. It can not check in the F/B ratio.
However, you can use the FEM solver in Momentum to solve the antenna properly. I believe it still assumes an infinitely large dielectric, but that only causes inaccuracies on the horizon. If you need more accurate results.... don't use ADS.
You can draw a finite size ground, instead of using the ground boundary condition. Then, you can easily simulate the F/B ratio. Limitation: The substrates are assumed infinite in this case.
For the FEM solver, you can define a finite dielectric size in the ADS substrate settings ("bounding area layer"). This is used by FEM and ignored by Momentum.
