finding transistors number for SMD package

I have been using some basic transistors in circuits like DB139, DB140, BC557 and BC5546 i need their alternate in SMD package, how can i know component number in SMD package.

I also want to know if there is some helping book to find transistor for greater values like more V & Amp etc.

use digikey.com..tell it what you want, it will give you a list which you can sort

The Replacement for BC557 and BC556 for SMD part is BC857 & BC856 respectively. For remaining transistors you need to check & compare their characteristics and then choose.
