I am puzzled about Filter's trade-off between the "loss" and the "Q".
It is said that a filter's large value of Q is at the price of "loss" in the pass band of the filter. But what's the reason? Is it only suitable for passive filter?

Who knows? Thanks

your question is abstract .what loss are you mentioning ?loss due to the non ideal inductors and capacitors or the power or what

sorry,I am puzzled about the above discription too.
I guess that the "loss" is referred to the pass-band gain, which is smaller than 0dB
