Hi,
Can somebody help me to estimate the far field radiation pattern of a dipole using FDTD.
I have already finf the near filed using FDTD, in MATLAB. Does anybody has code that can i estimate the far field?

I believe you will need a technique originally developed for antenna measurements: near-field to far-field transformation. I did google search for "near-field to far-field" and FDTD, and got about 10 pages worth of (stuff).
 
Thanks for the reply but i didt find any code in MATLAB that could help me...
Anyone has any available MATLAB code?
 

hi, you must use the huygens principle.

I attached a m-file which is included Huygens principle for estimating farfield pattern
