External -10v for this GLCD??

Hi,

I got this LCD (KS0108).

Kindly take a look at this datasheet. My confusion is regarding Vee (-10v). Do I have to provide external -10v on this pin to drive this particular LCD?

I tried connecting this LCD using the glcd schematic provided in mikrobasic F1 help. Connected it to PIC16F877A with corresponding pins of LCD. Used the GLCD example code for PIC16F877A. All I get is blue border and white pixels filled in completely.
