Explanation of three types of latencies

Hi
I know the meaning of latency and i also know there are three types of layency,
1. Source Latency
2. Network Latency
3. I/O latency

But can anyone please explain in detail each of three.
And i aslo want material regarding to Latency

from your previous posts, you seem to have access to magma tools ; refer to the timing constraints section of the training material..you will understand them better; understanding I/O latency is important when you analyze the input delay and output delay constraints in magma..
 

Latency

What does latency mean? And what is the relationship between it and throughput in the digital system? What is magma?

Source Latency is the propagation time from the actual clock origin to the clock definition point in the design.

Network Latency would be the propagation time from the clock defination point to the clock pin of the sequential element.

IO latency, I would assume, is the propagation time of a signal through an IO.
