Hi All,

Can I estimate the BER from the simulated eye diagram by the information of eye parameters (vertical and horizontal eye opening) ?

I use spice simulator "Eldo"

Thanks,

Perhaps, if your simulation embodies the statistical (random
on top of deterministic) variation of clock edge in data eye.
But without a solid idea of time-domain noise, a BER prediction
is not very credible.

I've done this kind of thing (without the statistics, but looking
for gut integrity) by adding voltage noise to a ramp that is
then squared to make the clock or data "jittery". But making
this match some well proven reality, would be another step.
