Error while compiling .asm file

hi

I have a '.asm' file as a firmware code which I am unable to compile using Atmel studio 6.The error is 'MakeFileGenFailureException captured.and error in generating MakeFile.so what probably I can do to rectify this?What this error means?

Ya now its compiling after I changed it to ASM compiler.
