[SOLVED] Error on AT+CIICR using SIM900

Hai,
I am using SIM 900 supported GSM modem and able to transfer data through gprs, using Tata docomo and Airtel sim cards.

Now,when I used a Bsnl simcard, I am getting +PDP DEACT on entering AT+CIICR.

I tried these commands:

at+cgatt=1
OK
at+cgdcont=1,"IP","bsnlnet"
OK
at+cstt="bsnlnet",,
OK
at+ciicr
ERROR

+PDP: DEACT


I have enough balance in my Sim card, activated for gprs, full network range.
I used the same commands for the other sim cards and is working properly. Also, another bsnl sim card is also working.
When I tried with other apn (bsnlstream and bsnllive), this command is not giving error, but fails to connect on AT+CIPSTART command. Also, I am able to browse internet with this sim card.

Can you please help me?

I wonder how the mobile phones connect to internet using AT commands?
In my case, I am not able to connect through AT commands, but mobile can establish connection.
Anyone have an idea about this?

Hi I am getting the same error.. did u came up with any solution...
i m also using bsnl sim....and the rest of the things are same as well

well any reason for this or what going wrong...

It was the problem of Bsnl sim card.
I'm not using that now. Any other operator will give you better service. Now,I am using Airtel sim card. Working better.........and I'll say best.........

Yes i too think the same....
in past i used Airtel Sim card which works fine.....Now jump to a conclusion will never use any card other than airtel...

i have the same problem. but my problem is not the simcard, because at first , it had connect, and after some days , it dont connect

I m using Airtel SIM and this worked fine at my LAB and Office in Gujarat.. But when transferred the SIM and the device to Bihar it is giving this Error.

I tested for following commands..

AT+CPIN? : Response was +CPIN READY
AT+CREG? : Response was +CREG:0,5 ( this means Registered Roaming)
AT+CGATT? : Response was OK.

However when I give AT+CIICR, the response is : +PDPEACT

Can anyone help as to how can i remove this error ?

must be due to roaming please check the folllowing
1. connect GPRS with same sim card on any mobile handset just to verify you have working connection
2. The setting for GPRS for present region
3. if possible try it using local sim card
