under which category will it come?i think that this question is paramount bcos all our receivers were fitted with Envelope detector(...indeed a well known fact)

Hi electronics_kumar,

I'm not sure about this, I think the envelope detector is present there in the synchronous detector as well as the asynchronous detector. Its present in all our detectors because all our detectors ,at least 90% of them, are super heterodyne recievers which need a detector (most popular being the envelope detector as its the most compact and the one with the least cost and parts).

i think it comes under synchronous detection. verify it.

sychronising has to do with phase(in some cases frequency)....

as an envelope detector just takes out the amplitude . there is no Question of synchronisation here..
