I found 2 switches for a fan and a tubelight. could anyone specify the circuit of such a double switch to control a device?
 

which type switch you found . Is two switches sepratoly controlled ? Can you upload any picture of it ?
 

If you are talking about one device controlled by two different switches following link will clear your doubt.
