Dear all
I am designing a D flip-flop through HSPICE using TSMC 180nm. I would be grateful if I would know how to measure "Energy per cycle" in this design.
Many thanks for your attention

Measure the average supply current per flip and multiply that by the supply voltage.

Thanks. Does your notion denote "average power consumption"? In other words, is there any difference between"Energy per cycle" and "power consumption"?
Thanks again

Power is energy per unit time, so if you have 1000 cycles per second then the power would be 1000 times the energy per cycle.
