Kindly explain why the term 'Energy' is being increasingly used instead of 'Power' in the implementation of various electronic devices/architectures. As I have noticed, there are more terms as 'Low energy implementation' or 'Energy Efficient Implementation' instead of power. Why Energy is replacing as a metric in describing such architectures ?

It is due to the general dumbing down of society. ( I saw a US news item on the web with the term citizen for people in England. This is a constitutional monarchy and so such people are subjects of the Queen.) Power is energy/time. So the circuit performance on an instantaneous basis would be power. If they meant that the lifetime of the device is related to the power delivered then the energy term would be correct. A dry battery would be one example.
