I want to know about OTA electronically tunable property. I have read that OTA has advantage of being electronically tunable over op-amps.
OTA can e electronically tunable by varying its biasing current which helps in tuning cutoff frequency of filter or gain in amplifiers. Why OTA is tunable why not op-amps in my opinion we can also vary the biasing current of op-amp too?
In simple words, OTA is a voltage controlled current source with finite gm which can be controlled by input stage bias current. OP is a voltage amplifier with ideally infinite gain.
