It is a design of electronic earrings. The housings were made of milled PCB and pieces of plexiglass with holes for batteries. The device is powered from 3V CR2032, which is the heaviest part of the earring.

PCBs were milled and then made in photochemical method. The main element of the earring is Atmel microcontroller Attiny13 (from 1,8V). There are also three red LEDs. The PCB is also equipped with a box, which supports the capacitive touch. The „button” is used to enable/disable the earring and change the way of LEDs lighting. There are seven different ways of LEDs lighting in the memory of Attiny (LEDs can light quickly or slowly one after another or all LEDs can be turned up and off at the same time, etc.). Attiny13 is not equipped with 3 PWM outputs, PWM has to be made programmatically using interrupts.

The earrings are put to sleep using WDT by pressing the „button” and holding it down for 4 seconds. Attiny in that mode consumes a little current (few uA). Of course, when you are about not to use the earrings for a few days, it would be better to unscrew and remove the batteries.

And how it looks:

Great. May I suggest using CR2016 - same diameter but 1.6mm thick (1/2 thickness) and 1/2 the weight! It should still last long enough.
