i want to calculate the effective dielectric constant of gold in anisotropic media
please help me how to solve my problem with effective medium theory

Is the gold in suspension in some medium? I'm 99.99999% sure that gold, alone, is a conductor... not a dielectric.

yes, this nano particles are in a host medium

for example substrate is glass

Look up Maxwell-Garnett relation as a starting point. Other than that as a simple case approximation, you will need to do EM simulation to extract effective parameters...

tnx a lot, i know that maxwell-garnet's model must be applied, but is there any codes for that?
