With a master's degree currently set aside for the next time unemployment comes around, what might be the best educational options to pursue while on unemployment?

I've brushed up on everything I may need to know for the next interview, but am continuing to study for the sake of being most effective at a future job.

I figure the study of application circuits and datasheets help. I no longer have access to professional software such as PSPICE, MATLAB, CADENCE, etc. though

education and unemployment correlation

How about auditing classes at the university? This may also help you generate contacts for finding the next job too. Often professors (especially in advanced classes) are open to that (from my own experience, mixing industry engineers and students is good for the students).
