EasyPic 5 and Pickit2

Hello everybody,

could someone tell me if I may use a PICKIT2 from microchip to debug an easypic5 without demaging it? I would try to program/debug in PIC LITE from MPLAB.

The EasyPIC 5 programmer has its own form of debugger built in, but it only works with their languages. It's not MPLAB compatible though.

If you can disconnect the EasyPIC 5 programmer from MCLR, RB6 & RB7 the PICkit2 should work fine.

Thanks for your replies,

I could use an ICD header board as the ACXXXXXX proposed by Microchip (for example the AC162051 at https://www.microchipdirect.com/Pro...yMicrochip&Category=Debuggers&mid=13&treeid=6, but I fear of damage the easypic or pickit board, because the MCLR, RB6 and RB7 are still connect to easypic. Could someone tell me if I wont any problem doing this ?
